Caring for you Hunter Boots
To ensure a long and healthy lifespan for your boots, wipe clean and leave to dry naturally away from direct sunlight or artificial heat sources. Only use cold, soapy water to clean the boots. Never use solvents. Never store boots whilst damp, folded or creased. Keep in a cool, dry location.
Occasionally, you may notice a white powdery "bloom" on your Hunter rubber wellington boots. This is because rubber is a natural product and in certain conditions, insoluble particles may rise to the surface. This is a common process, characteristic of high quality, natural rubber and nothing to worry about. This process does not affect the performance or durability of your boots. What is your Hunter Wellington Boot Made From
The Hunter original wellington boot is primarily made from organic compounds which are blended together to form a waterproof flexible wellington boot. The base product of the original Hunter wellington is natural latex which can degrade when exposed to UVB light, from the sun and acid and alkaline chemicals, which can be found in the soil.
What can I use my Hunter Original Wellington Boots For
This is a light duty Hunter wellington boot and as such is suitable for light occasional use in the garden, walking and other similar activities.
A light duty wellington boot is not suitable for commercial use, daily dog walking, horse riding or other similar activities. If you require a heavier duty boot for example dog walking then please look at the relevant category which offers specific wellington boots that are suitable for extreme use in particular fields.
Excessive wear will occur to the sole of the Hunter original wellington boot when used on hard surfaces for example concrete. Wear to the sole of the boot is not classed as a manufacturers defect and as such is not covered under the fair wear and tear warranty
WARNING
There is a greater risk of slipping with increased sole wear. Exposure to solvents, oils and animal fats can swell the rubber and increase the risk of slipping. Hunter boots contain natural rubber latex, which some people may be allergic to.
