Caring for you Hunter Boots
To ensure a long and healthy lifespan for your boots, wipe clean and leave to dry naturally away from direct sunlight or artificial heat sources. Only use cold, soapy water to clean the boots. Never use solvents. Never store boots whilst damp, folded or creased. Keep in a cool, dry location.
Occasionally, you may notice a white powdery "bloom" on your Hunter rubber wellington boots. This is because rubber is a natural product and in certain conditions, insoluble particles may rise to the surface. This is a common process, characteristic of high quality, natural rubber and nothing to worry about. This process does not affect the performance or durability of your boots. A pristine finish and shine is easily restored with regular use of Hunter Boot Buffer
Hunter Fashion Wellington Boots
Hunter Boots now produce many styles of wellington boot that are suitable for many varied applications. This particular style is classed as a fashion wellington boot and as such has been made to cater for very light duty due to the finish on the outside of the Hunter wellington boot.
The boot is made from the same quality of rubber as the standard Hunter original wellington boot however the finish that is applied to the outside of the wellington is only suitable for very light duty and can be effected by acids and alkalise that are present in the soil .
What can I use my Hunter Wellington Boots for
These Hunter wellington boots can be used for light use in the card occasional dog walking, festivals and other such light duties as per the Hunter Original wellington boots.
How should I care for my Hunter wellington Boots.
Keep the boots out of direct sunlight and make sure that they are cleaned thoroughly after use so that that the acids and alkalies that are present in any soil cannot attack the finish. When possible please treat the wellington boots with the Hunter boot buff that will clean the surface of the wellington boot and leave a protective coating of natural oil that will help protect the wellingtons from damaging UVB light.
Using a Hunter original wellington boot on hard surfaces like concrete will give wear the tread very quickly. Treads that have worn out are excluded from the warranty as this is not classed as a manufacturers defect
If you require a heavy duty wellington boot then we would suggest that you buy a wellington from a specific section that can be found in our categories menu. For example if you use your wellington boots for dog walking on a daily basis then please select a wellington boot from this specific section
WARNING
There is a greater risk of slipping with increased sole wear. Exposure to solvents, oils and animal fats can swell the rubber and increase the risk of slipping. Hunter boots contain natural rubber latex, which some people may be allergic to.
